I've made 85% of my MTurk earning on non-Master's work. At this point in time, I could have my Masters qual taken away, and still be able to make at least $100 most days. While I would love to partake in this gigantic batch that so many people are feasting on, I live in the one state that is prohibited from working on the batch... but I'm not even sweating it.

Obviously, having Masters helps some, but there's so much more to making good money on this platform than just having Masters.

This is just my opinion, but the real path to success in making reasonable money on MTurk is constant vigilance for qual HITs & qual tests, and learning/knowing the tendencies of the various requesters on the platform. Never turn your nose up at a qual HIT or qual test... You never know when some seemingly inconsequential one will ultimately result in $1000's of earnings in subsequent years.
