Yes, see the ruins in Tulum. Very interesting. Also go to Playa del Carmen on 5th Ave or take a ferry to Cozumel. I stayed in Puerto Morelos for 6 months. About an hour North of Tulum. Also go to Xel Ha. I never made it there but it's an all inclusive water park. Price includes foods and drinks. Also there are day trips that will take you to Chichen Itza. I'm not sure how long you are going to me in Tulum. Also it's going to be very very hot and very humid. So be prepared.Heading to Tulum in a month, any must do's ? not planning to go to into Cancun where i know most of the fun is but been there too many times

just take 307 North, it's about an hour or so North of Tulum. It's a quaint little fishing village. I lived there for six months. There are like 100 restaurants there. My picks are Burger Underground for burgers and El Campanerio for steaks. Best you will ever have.i haven't educate me , best way to get there ? can i do a daytrip ? etc etc

Also, don't just go to the port side, go to the colonia side also for non touristy authentic Mexican.
BTW, the sargassum is really bad right now.
