I love my iPad, but my kids use it more than I do. I just ordered a Fire yesterday, though. I have a long-as-hell plane ride coming up soon and have no desire to take my iPad.

Plus the Fire I bought matches my hair.

My SO just got one on sale, he loves the thing. We play hearthstone on it and it's quite nice.
