I'm not sure if there are actual numbers to back this up, but it did seem to me like work dropped off considerably when they kicked out international requesters a couple years ago.

I do watch the show and I enjoy it but I don't try to compare it to the books anymore in any way. Its a totally separate story at this point. I'm not even terribly concerned about it ruining the ending of the books like a lot of people are lol.

Yeah the ending of books never interests me as much as the journey to get there.

So let me get this straight. We're either going to be in a total wasteland of hits, or we're going to get a lot more opportunity from international requesters.

I've generally had better luck with international requesters than US-based ones.
Universities in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand often pay workers appropriately.

I've had occasion to write a lot of IRBs :blush: (usually not on my own account).
IRBs in the UK are responsive, compared with most US institutions (not to mention criminal IRBs like Cornell and U. Minnesota).

Amazon no longer allows international requesters, unless they're affiliated with a US-based account.
That's why we see some of the MTurk Data surveys, and collaborations with US universities.
