I do my best to not let uninvited people past the door. No, you couldn't have fucking texted or emailed me to give me two seconds to move the toys and laundry out of the living room? You can't come in.

Back in MS, members of my husband's family would just show up with no prior warning... and this is what I did. I just picked up my laptop and hid in the bedroom until they left.

Unexpected drop ins are the social equivalent of tactical carpet bombings.
