@clickhappier had a post somewhere about it being related to state taxes and them having to pay taxes differently if they have workers in those states.

Also, they are very slow to change who's included or not when a state's tax situation changes; and it's all pointless bullshit anyway, since they have tons of other official Amazon accounts that have never done this kind of bs, this one project group just had a lawyer with a bigger stick than usual up their ass involved.

Oh, I know that pain of not being able to update your state. I've been in the wrong state for 3+ years now. Whenever I see requesters using the state qualifications, I try to email them and explain that if it's important for their data, they need to be using qualification tests instead because the state qual is not an accurate measure of where people live. But for Amazon accounts like A9, of course, I wouldn't even bother trying to tell them that. To borrow a phrase from @Tribune, they'd probably rather argue that the sun was blue.

Hey, has anyone ever had issues verifying their bank account? (not tax/identity info)

I've been trying to verify my bank account since I joined Mturk on May 8th but their document uploader is broken, I have no idea if they even got my fax, and customer service has been extremely unhelpful. The only person to try to help me was through regular Amazon customer service but they didn't even know the Mturk customer service email (they gave me an email that wasn't valid). I have the bank statement, it meets their requirements, I just can't seem to get it to them. I'm getting desperate here . What's really dumb is that my bank account is already verified on my Amazon Seller's account---I get deposits from Amazon all the time already. I just can't seem to verify it for Mturk.
