The only reason I knew is because I do lots of synonym HITs. It turns out you can call a "boat" lots of different things.

I (sadly) have now given some mental energy to that other definition and have decided to just discard it. I mean, I mean, that would hurt and.....
and.................. a skiff is a boat. It's been a boat for hundreds of years.

I grew up rowing sculls - but I never was part of a crew. I was thinking recently that when my life sorts out (ANY DAY NOW, okay?)
I'd like to do that again. It's really peaceful - especially early in the morning when the sun is just rising - quite beautiful
