I just quit one month and 4 days ago. I used an ecig to help me through it...first week wasn't so bad, second week I puffed that ecig a couple times a day, third week I thought I was an idiot for quitting smoking, fourth week some days were bad, most were good, going in to 5th week still have a craving about once or twice a day but that's it. I tried the patch and cold turkey in the past, those did not work...the disposable ecig from Blu (only bought one and it still has a lot left to go), has made a huge difference.
To those who say you can only quit by going cold turkey, I say "one size doesn't fit all, stop discouraging people", to those who say "Oh, good job, that's great", most of us at this stage really don't want to hear it, and for any ex smoker who is now an ahole jackarse about smokers - sthu.
Anyway, if you ever do want to quit, I'd recommend trying the ecig...maybe it will help. Nothing will help, however, until you find a reason that you actually want to quit. I didn't want to quit smoking, I just wanted to quit spending the money on them.
