Not really, unless it is a high dollar one. I've had stuff fry that was connected to the normal type, so i always unplug if it is that bad.

I unplug everything, too.
it looks like it will go to the W or E of us........but be quite close - I hope there's some kind of movement, though - we've had so much bad news lately - and we're just waiting (ANY DAY NOW) for things to get better (they are supposed to - but 'better' keeps getting delayed by a week, then two, then another two -) - so in the meantime, while we're waiting, the last thing I need is for the house to get squashed.
