So I have a crappy 8 core cpu (don't know the name or specs right now) that's super touchy with heat and keeps crashing my computer... It has a giant heat sink and also a portable fan pointing at it. The house ac is set to 60, it isn't over clocked and the phys-x is set to my gpu. Does anyone have any random suggestions on how I can make this POS last until the 15th of next month?

Underclock it, disable some cores, use compressed to clear dust out.
