There was a HIT for it yesterday, that's the same way I got into their last study. But then I am doing a Twitter tagging them that has made $13 already at 4 cents a HIT lol

They put out a screener/qual hit a few days ago. (can't remember exactly when, no concept of time lately)

They actually think that $2-3/hr is ethical? I just asked her to please post an estimated time on the HIT page next time.

So I scanned the paper she was quoting, because her email sounded like BS -- and yeah, it is. The 1.38 number is not the "average payment on mechanical turk" in 2010 but rather the average absolute lowest amount the researchers found a turker would work for before refusing to work for a requester (which is rather depressing.)
