Boy. I don't know if my server is slow or what is going on but I'm still trying to catch that HIT that a requester put up for me yesterday. I've seen it twice but when I attempt to open it, it's gone again. The work is done and turned in to the requester. I just want to get paid and he wants to pay it. This is just ridiculous. Can people not read and see when a HIT says it's assigned to someone else?

The prevailing theory is that Yes, people can see the HIT and that it's not for them -- but that whenever somebody looks at it, even if they don't accept it, it disappears for a moment. So you need to PandA a custom HIT (and it still might take hours to grab it).

They are likely grabbing it based on amount, and then returning it once they realize they can't do it. I quoted you twice cause that's just how I roll.

Thanks, I think that is what they are doing. I haven't caught the timer, usually these are 5 hours, but someone isn't returning it until the last second or leaving it expire. It's frustrating and it's frustrating for the requester. I take the time to read the HIT before I accept it. I don't want somebody's work being held up. At least I have the work done as it was a transcription and they sent me the audio link. But they email me and ask if I see it yet. And usually no. I've only as I said, seen it twice and this has been going on for 24 hours.

do you use turkmaster? When I started and panda was just a cute bear to me, turkmaster helped me to understand the process because its essentially the automated version of PandA'ing.

I suggested that but they so far haven't taken that route. I don't think they understand and when I searched I couldn't find an answer for them.

Yeah, @cassius have the requester do this.

It's really, really simple to set up a specific qualification for a person and would probably be easier than explaining exactly how to do a panda.
