Heh. I'm one of them. I do fine with mirrors, but if someone shows me a picture of just my face, I'll swear up and down I've never seen that person in my life. I've had friends prank me that way. More than once...

if it's a nice researcher, I would tell them afterwards (email). You might very well be *that* outlier, when they try to interpret their stats . So, your input could help.

Yes, definitely! If they have a comment box or an email provided (and I can't imagine they wouldn't) I'll drop a little note. But who knows. Psychology is funny, the 'face recognition' could be a ton of deception and actually completely irrelevant. Hopefully they have a debrief.

It sounds like they don't understand how MTurk works. My estimation is that they mean you got a bonus in the HIT but because of some issue, they cannot view how much bonus you should have earned so they want you to report the score you got for whatever the task was and the bonus it said you'd be paid. Then they'll look into it.

Any techy people want to help me for a second? I've been trying to find an adblocker I can add to my android phone that removes advertisements from apps. I had one a long time ago and I can't find it anymore. I've looked for hours in the play store and googled and nothing is specifically for app advertisements...just for the browsers.
