The whole idea of transhumanism is so tragically solipsistic. I love the feel of wind and sunlight on my skin... and most cameras are still way inferior to our eyes, especially in the dynamic range... the idea of disconnecting from my body and living an existence filled with induced approximations of sense seems kind of a step backward to me.

And then... think about what happens when your body becomes hardware... think about corrupt corporations and the government... I mean... I cannot possibly imagine a scenario that could be more easily and more completely abused...

I love the feel of wind and sunlight on my skin... and most cameras are still way inferior to our eyes, especially in the dynamic range... the idea of disconnecting from my body and living an existence filled with induced approximations of sense seems kind of a step backward to me.

And then... think about what happens when your body becomes hardware... think about corrupt corporations and the government... I mean... I cannot possibly imagine a scenario that could be more easily and more completely abused...

At that point I would just not want consciousness.
