Looks like more "improvements," some built in qualifications. I'm noping out of that. Says optional and probably won't be able to change it later.

That one actually is an improvement I think, or at least potentially an improvement. One of the big problems on mturk is people just claiming to be whatever in order to do a HIT, which makes results less reliable. Having to answer those questions through the platform ahead of time prevents people from doing that. I also don't really see any reason not to complete those. You're a lot more likely to be unable to take something by not doing them then you are to be locked out by doing them.

My visit wasn't super awesome but not as bad as I'd feared. They brought some head honcho in who kept muttering under his breath that my case was "fascinating," which was kind of hilarious to me. Yay! Glad it wasn't as bad as you feared! But it does suck to have the head honcho geek scientific doctor find you fascinating. It's like, "Hey, I'm a person over here! Not just my condition!"

I'm also thinking that this helps Amazon have more hits that are invisible to most people and therefore fewer server requests on scrapers etc. Less total server access requests = happier back end folks.
