The same thing happened to me when I tried to take the survey on my Chromebook for some reason. I had to switch to a PC.

Thanks, that must have been it, I hadn't even been able to read if it could be stopped and restarted, which I see now you are expected to do that, thank goodness, but also that there can be issues. It's working fine on my chromebook in ubuntu on the firefox browser, must have been the chrome browser I was using earlier. I also noticed an i.e. browser extension for chrome, Ill have to see what that does.
