what happened? is it better now?

My vision clouded over in one eye for a couple minutes. I'm extremely nearsighted so I'm at risk of retina issues so I got into a new doctor real fast. They said I have a floater, not of the turd persuasion. And that it normally happens in older people. They can be a sign of the retina tearing or detaching, but thankfully, mine is okay, so far. It hasn't happened again, but it could take months for it to go away completely. And if the cloud in my vision comes back too frequently, I have to go run to the doctor. But, I'm pretty much terrified of it happening even once again.
TLDR: my eyes suck.
