When people show up and ask for a script that was mentioned literally just a post above them, or ask about a batch that's been brought up ten times on the last 2 pages, that's laziness. When I'm feeling patient, I make sure to explain to the people I'm helping how I found the information (saw this posted above, used forum search, found by googling), etc. Often times it's new people who don't have a lot of experience and could use the encouragement.

Of course I get frustrated if the same person over and over doesn't learn though

While I agree for the most part, there are many times where I will reply to the most recent post and by the time I've finished typing and posting, there are two new pages that have gone by.

I get super annoyed with people who are unwilling to do a simple search or ask the same question eleventy times, but there are times when shit happens and it's not *always* laziness.

I understand your frustrations, but at the same time this forum was/is built on sharing and helpfulness. I think it's a lot more conducive to gently point someone in the right direction or answer a question then be passive aggressive about it. Everyone catches on at their own rate.

I think that's a little unfair. I mean, yes, it can be grating when people don't take initiative and go find the guides and how-tos the forum has to offer, but if I'm annoyed, I just ignore it. If I'm feeling helpful, I direct them to it. I did a TON of research before starting Turking, but I know it's all very overwhelming and it can be hard to even know what you're look for.

As far as HITs, though... it can be hard to go back a page or two if you're using the forum's auto-update and you're doing HITs and you're watching HS ... but, we're all here to help each other out, aren't we? Like, that's the point of this forum... so, I don't mind, especially when things are busy, a repeat here or there. And I don't assume people are lazy, but rather probably multi-tasking and working.
