how do i turn my tv into a monitor

I needed an adapter for the sound to work. 2 tvs - 1 cable from tv to pc directly. the other cable from tv to adapter, adapter into pc. the adapter splits into 2 plugs. 1 plug is usb for sound. 1 plug is vgb or hdmi or something else for the screen. plus if you use a headset, that also goes to the pc. the whole setup uses up a lot of the spaces on the back of the pc. works though and way cheaper than monitors.

edit: you won't have a webcam if you do it this way. also you will need a microphone seperately.

I'm hiding. By my last count I have about six extra kids in my house. I am unsure where they came from. I just made food and threw it at the masses and prayed they didnt' come after me for more.

(I love being the mom of a tween who has friends who just show up and I feed them or they eat me.)

While what @JenniLeigh said is almost true.. You will have to deal with overscanning.. Basically you will need to disable overscanning on your TV and then everything will work perfectly.
