This does not pertain to turking but wanted to post this once if it saves one life. This month is Teal month for Ovarian Cancer. It is called a Whisper Cancer because the symptoms are vague, ex bloating or more frequent urination. Most women like myself are diagnosed at stage 3 or 4 since there is no test and normally only caught at the emergency room with a ct scan. The survival rate is generally no more than 5 years. It was ignored for years since most women were in their 60 or 70s but more women are being diagnosed as young as 20. I do not post this for sympathy as I have beaten it twice already and will continue the fight. I am posting this so that if you or a loved one have any symptoms that seem vague, make sure not to just think that it is normal just because you are getting older.
