well, for one thing, when i choose not to explain something it's either rather irrelevant, and she wouldn't have learned much, or it's something really complicated that I could explain given enough time and dedication, but that she may not absorb (she's only 7, and with an age that young, I find it best to have short, interactive spurts rather than long, overcomplicated explanations.)

plus, I think it's very important to have bouts of silliness. it helps build character, creativeness, and wittiness.
