In 2014, three University of Minnesota researchers -- Aaron Sojourner, Akhmed Umyarov, and Alan Benson -- created 64 fake sockpuppet accounts on Turkopticon to review 39 bogus AMT requesters as part of an experiment (U.Mn. IRB No. 1405E-50363).

They called it a "exogenous manipulation of a database," presumably because it sounds better than "criminal hacking of somebody else's data."

No, I almost always find an email and/or contact form. You will always find info on the whois, even if it is just "Privacy Prtoection" and a random email.

All the emails I've found are just like info@ etc. Have only found a few chef/owner names. Do you do the whois search even if there is no contact form?
