one of my worst moments so far was when i was training for a job. I noticed a girl in my training class (woman, ok she was 19...another sign of age?) was wearing a shirt from the high school I graduated from. I was going to say something. Then I noticed the 'class of' year. Then I realized it was exactly twenty years after mine. I knew my reunion was that year, but somehow it just didn't really register until that moment. I felt like I might as well just go by geritol and a walker. im not even sure what geritol is.

Yes! I always used to tell older adults, when Napster was a thing, that people have always been stealing music. Just differently. Why was it okay on tapes, but not the internet?! Haha!

Biggest difference was with Napster there wasn't someone talking over the first and last 10 seconds of each song.

Oh also, last thing, I swear, a kid at my last job, uh, man, young man, he called me ma'm. I literally yelled at him. Do not call me mam! I don't yell. I hardly talk half the time (irl ok?) I didn't realize that I thought anything other than it being polite for a young man to say ma'm. But when he said excuse me 'mam', I went off. I think he was scared. And I do not live in the south, or it mighta been ok.

Remember when we had to carry our phonographs on our shoulders to play music at the park? But then you had to keep winding them for them to work and sometimes you were sweet talking someone with Tchaikovsky playing in the background and then phonograph would suddenly stop and literally make a record scratch sound and just completely kill the mood.

Those were simpler times.
