did you guys see the great wall of china? can you go up there?

I didn't on this trip because I'd seen it twice already but yes, you can hike along it. Most places you can access it are insanely crowded but my family found a great place this time. My husband and I had moved on to another city by that time, though. In the end, it's kind of just a big wall.

I didn't on this trip because I'd seen it twice already but yes, you can hike along it. Most places you can access it are insanely crowded but my family found a great place this time. My husband and I had moved on to another city by that time, though. In the end, it's kind of just a big wall.

That's how I felt about Niagara Falls the third time, except they have fudge.

I wish I had mine when I climbed Yellow Mountain. Over 10 hours of going up and down steps. Perhaps more. I'm traumatized and panicked whenever I look at a staircase now.

I'd been there a few times as a teen and child for months at a time so it has sentimental value to me. I love it there and I wanted to show my husband around. My dad speaks excellent Chinese because he's a Chinese linguistics professor. He's living there right now with my mom and sister so we thought it would be the perfect time to go. We only stayed with them a third of our trip because we wanted a bit of adventure out n our own.

I have a friend who went to China, don't know which part, to teach English. The first Christmas she was there she learned the school actually gave them a bird with the head still on like in A Christmas Story. She got a bit of comic relief from her homesickness out of that.
