Not only that... but who are you going to use as the gold standard for the hourly rate when determining what good pay is? Me? Jaded @Jaded? Kerek @Kerek? @AvatarlessNewbWhoStartedTurkingLastWeek?

And who is that fair to? Is it fair to the requester to have to balance their pay around the slowest mofo's on mturk when they are going to have veteran turkers tearing through their batches? Is it fair to the workforce to balance pay around me or Kadauchi @Kadauchi? Where do you get those metrics from?

And then... who is qualified to represent me? How do we decide that and at what point did I agree to be represented by a social forum I joined?

I don't know how to decide to determine "good pay rate." However, if you're serious about contributing to pushing towards a great pay. PM box is open. Don't expect any results over night. However, if their is group of people to help, time, push for change, then in time you will have witnessed some PROGRESS.

That's an issue in itself. Some Requesters are not putting themselves in the shoes of the worker. Maybe Requesters should work on their tasks before posting them. Then Requesters can have some sort of range on how their survey/Hit turns out in terms of pay hourly.

I'm confused when you say the line " slowest mofo's on mturk when they are going to have veteran turkers tearing through their batches?"

If the pay rate is for example, $12 per hour. If you work slow or fast it shouldn't matter (if you're delivering the same quality of work whether slow/fast and the requester doesn't care about speed.)

The only person Qualified to represent YOU is YOU. No one agrees to be representative by a social forum unless they chose to. Everyone has a saying! I'm all for ideas. At the end of the day, if they are ideas and no action is taken, those ideas become just that.

I have to step out. I'm serious of trying to work together. If any interest, send me a PM.

He said that because some people can do a Zoltar in 30 seconds when someone else would take 3 minutes to do the same one.

Just an example.

How do we determine the fair hourly?

Edit: Also some "bad apples" would drag out their work to try to get a better pay rate.
