Hello,
We are writing to you with an update to our email from last week regarding the technical issue with the HIT "Evaluate body types in images" that you attempted to complete on October 13th.
The problem with the HIT was a result of an Amazon server limitation, not anything you did. We did not receive any of the data from your submissions - they were rejected and your work was lost.
Regardless, we will pay you in full for your work.We want to be fair to everyone who attempted to complete the HIT, not just those who emailed us to complain. Over the weekend, we reached out to Amazon to provide us with the complete list of the hundreds of workers who attempted to submit the HIT and asked for assistance crediting everyone. Amazon let us know on Sunday morning that it will take them a few days to work with their engineers and formulate a response. We expect that we will have their response by the end of this week.
We know that Amazon may not be able to assist us. If Amazon cannot provide the data we have requested and help us pay everyone, we will create empty HITs for each of you to make sure you are paid for your hard work.
We value the Mechanical Turk community and the work that each of you do. We apologize for the inconvenience of not being credited immediately for the work you completed. Please bear with us for a few more days while we attempt to resolve this issue.
Best Regards,
DI2B (The Body Labs Team)
