Actually, I've been told over and over and over and over again that I have a great radio voice. Most impressive thing was when this woman calls me when I'm living in San Diego, but she's got the wrong number. She got me instead. She told me she was a talent agent. She mentioned some celebrity names I actually recognized. She was in Vegas. "Come out here and I'll find you work," she says. I replied that I didn't want to move to the desert.

So here I sit, three decades later, in the middle of the frigging Mojave Desert, trying to make monies by Turking.

Cruel world, ... and dumb decisions.

If I told you any spy stories ... you'd probably be bored to death.

It's just funny that this comes across in how you write, it's awesome. maybe the way you emphasize words? (Not the boring spy story part, the other parts ) We need a voices thread...or wait isn't there one?

I get the same thing, except everyone tells me I have a radio face.

You can still do voice work... look into VO (voice over) work. Audio books, video games, and such.

I remember asking my mom once if I was a good singer; she told me I sang well with a group. I guess that's kind of the same, except that there was no compliment whatesoever in that. lol

(I reminded her years later, she felt really bad, said she thought I had a nice voice. So at least she cared enough to lie lol)

That was the end of my singing ambitions (though I have a lovely speaking voice

That isn't an insult. It takes some skill/talent to be able to harmonize with others effectively, if everyone was a soloist we'd have very little music.

Probably don't qual, but thanks! I had a desk job with 1st kiddo, and they probably don't count chasing a two-year-old as a 'physically demanding job' (even though it is!)
