Speaking of those, is it only an exact match if the result is literally the same words the person searched? Getting a lot of ones that the query is something like "road cycle racing" and the result is a cycle race somewhere (e.g. Tour de France).

I'm saying this:

• Relevant, but NOT Exact Match Result is not an exact match for the given query, but is still relevant sharing the central/prime subject/topic with the exact match result.

I could be wrong though if I over think it

Yeah that's what I've been doing since their example is Friends being a result for searching exactly that.
