Quarterbacks have to do what they can to help their team win. Just like every other player on the team. Just because Brady and Manning primarily pass from the pocket doesn't mean that is the only way to play quarterback. There's also Big Ben's style of play, where he frequently escapes the pocket a lot and extends the play by moving around and waiting for receivers to get open. Cam Newton uses both passing and running effectively to make it harder for defenses to prepare for the next play. Tim Tebow just focuses heavily on the run and is able to make important throws when they matter the most.

All of the QBs that you listed are able to do something that Tebow isn't, and that is be able to throw the ball consistently. You are insane if you think he is even close to the bottom tier starting QBs and might be serviceable as a backup who plays a quarter or two if needed.

His coaches planned for him to run the ball a lot because that was his strength, like it was at Florida. Coaches will draw up plays based on the strength of their quarterback. They had the number one rushing offense in the NFL in 2011. You don't get that by being lucky. Otherwise the NFL wouldn't be a credible league since a so called "bad" quarterback would win so many games

Because that was the only this he could do. I'd rather have Ladainian Tomlinson back at the QB position taking snaps. He was a running back that threw the ball sometimes, that does not make him a great QB, that makes him a running back with a trick up his sleeve. I'd bet a ton of money an offense with Tomlinson at QB would also be #1 in rushing.

After a few games he brought his team from last place to first in their division and eventually to the playoffs. That means he DID last.

What, are you fucking kidding me? In what sense is 11 games considered lasting? How about a 3 year career as a first round QB? That right there should tell you he busted out of the NFL but apparently you're to dense to see it.

Wow way to completely leave out the important facts to help your argument. Tebow was released by the Denver Broncos ONLY after they went out and got one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. The fact that they had to get Peyton Manning shows that they NEEDED someone amazing to replace him.

No, he would have been released whether or not the Broncos picked up Peyton Manning. I was no secret that Elway wanted him gone asap. Don't pretend that only Peyton Manning or some other "amazing" QB was needed to replace him.

Tebow hasn't been the starter for other teams because he is only good when playing in his style of offense and most coaches are too afraid to design an offense where the QB runs most of the time. Tebow is terrible when trying to compete in a offense where the QB mostly just throws from the pocket. That doesn't mean he's a bad QB overall.

He hasn't been the starter cause he sucks. He couldn't make any team after the Jets because he sucks. If you are not good enough to even be a backup QB, there is no way you can be considered good. Think about it, not 1 team wanted him on their 53 man roster, or their practice squad. I think one or two teams told him maybe if he would change positions. You don't ask good or even mediocre QBs to change positions. can't say a player is good if this is the case. Use your damn brain.


Do you remember the Wildcat and how semi-successful it was for the Dolphins that 1 year? It caught everyone by surprise but eventually it was fleshed out to be a terrible offense. Its called a fluke, and that is exactly what Tebow's string of wins were. To be great or even good, you need to have consistency, and everything about Tebow's "career" shows this is not the case.

While Jason Momoa is an objectively attractive man, I'm not sure if him and Tim Tebow are interchangeable.
