I'm going through the same thing. Try googling adapters and converters for your specific need. I'm shopping for a new Blu-Ray player and it's a bitch getting it hooked up audio wise to my current stereo receiver. They have literally stopped putting audio jacks on everything.

yeah, my surround sound receiver only uses the composite audio output. Can tell how old that thing is. Just bought a new blu ray player at wal mart yesterday and wasn't thinking, so we got one with only an hdmi output. To much of a pain to return electronics at my wal mart ( you have to go to customer service first, then you have to go to the electronics dept, then you have to go back to customer service) so for $58, going to just keep it in case one of the blu ray players completely dies.
