I'm over here watching Black Friday fight compilations. That's how close I get to shopping today.

I look up places that are open on thanksgiving and I avoid them for the rest of the year.
this is somewhat tough, since walmart and target are such useful places.
but, we're living in the world of tomorrow, where you can order something online
and they may even deliver it on sunday
despite there being no real need to have it for another week or so

in keeping with my ideals, I don't shop online on thanksgiving/black friday either.
but amazon, they have people working on those days,
even freelance persons, such as myself, on mturk!
and I only got $50 for working the holiday yesterday!

Why? I've had Paypal for about 15 years without a glitch. It's attached to my bank debit card.

Having withdrawal issues earlier this week that required a call in. No chat available. Rep barely spoke English and can't understand the nature of my problem. Finally got it taken care of only for the same problem to arise when I went to withdrawal today. They block calls from Skype forcing me to pay for it. Their fees on ebay sales are too high.

OT: I read the software reviews on computer sites. There's no need to pay for anti-vrus. Avast is the top-rated A-V, and you can just download the free edition. MS Security Essentials is free, and Bit-Defender offers a free version. I trust them enough to use them with XP, and I've never had a virus. BD on this computer, Avast on my other.

If you dig down deep enough. Youll find shadiness in every company. Some are just more open about it (walmart) If you're comfortable with paypal keep using it.
