I know I shouldn't joke about suicide, but I like the image
my little brother was recently permitted to leave the mental hospital after his own attempt on his life
my attempts have all failed, because I couldn't do it, but that was about a decade ago
of course, now I have a reason not to; my 7 year old daughter
(edit: she's about two weeks away from turning 8)

if you, or someone you know, is having trouble and needs someone to talk to,
there are always people available at the national suicide hotline - https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/#
additionally, your own state probably has call centers for it as well

sometimes when I'm feeling especially lonely, I call just to have someone to talk to
