From listening to all you who have been doing this for a long time, and researching all the forums (not just this one) it is very clear that a person can make as little or as much as one wants depending on time invested.

What GPU,CPU and PSU you putting in there?

Not sure yet, still all dependent on the motherboard and for that I was thinking ASUS Z170-A and an intel i5 6600, I'll pick the PSU out last to make sure I have ample power for whatever I need down the line. Really it all comes down to how much do I want to hurt my wallet?
