Anyone know if the avatar problem has been fixed yet? I've tried smaller picture sizes, different file types, and linking from a site but still no luck.

It's a known issue with the new version of PHP that we upgraded to during the server upgrade last weekend. Some people have had success in trying different file types, different files, etc. We can downgrade to an older version of PHP but then things run slower. But given the trade-off between inconsistently working avatars and some slowness, I think we're going to go with the downgraded version of PHP. I don't have an ETA of when @serverguy will be able to do the PHP downgrade, but I (or he) can post when we know. Sorry!
