Actually, I was just about to ask on here, do you know if these places just look at some kind of monthly earning statement to verify income? I ask that because I've been thinking that in a worst case scenario, we might be able to turk 24/7 for a couple of months to get the earnings to show to them. Although that may be a bit dishonest, so I'm not sure(Like have a monthly avg on Mturk of 900, but do a crazy amount of work/unsustainable amount and bring it up to 1300, etc)

Yeah other people here would know more, tbh. I just know that when we were looking for apartments awhile back everywhere we called had a pretty unrealistic income requirement

I'm really not sure. I'm mostly scared that they wont trust "work from home" people. A lot of craigslist ads say no work from home

You could also do that then offer them the extra money you made by working more as an extra month or two of advanced rent, which is what I did. Then at the end of the first year that advance paid for the final months and I was back to normal payments.

if the restrictions are this bad then maybe see if you prove income through a different job to buy a place? because the restrictions you guys are talking about are silly. I'm pretty it's easier to buy then.

Since it's so slow, I will share a quote I found during my obsessive Carrie Fisher reading today. I think it was Geroge Lucas, which is gross, but whatever. It's illuminating.

"If you look at the person that someone chooses to have a relationship with, you'll see what they think of themselves."

You can try saying you are self employed, which is legally/for tax purposes true. And only do your deposits when they get high. If they show up as direct deposit, on a weekly or biweekly basis, you may have a case.

People in relationships tend to have similar levels of self-esteem, although how that expresses itself outwardly can appear very different. A divergence there can be one explanation for why they drift apart or break up.
