Rep Present Introducing WebomateS to Mturker

WebomateS is working to create a responsive, adaptable and long term community of workers. Using feedback from the mturk worker community, we have adopted win-win sizing and payment policies. Our commitment to you is:

1. 24 hour payment policy
2. Bonus for hits done with high quality in a time window; Paid in 48 hours
3. 3 Different sizes of hits that are a balance of value and time (Size in small (~3 minutes), medium (~5 minutes) and large (~7 minutes) though you can take longer if you need to.

We do require a qualification test to be completed. Currently most of our Hits are in different browsers and the steps are outlined in the Hit instructions. This forum we hope will be a venue for Mturkers to provide further feedback in order to help us improve.

Currently we are publishing every Wednesday and very soon we will be publishing everyday.

FWIW I took it and don't even remember what I scored, but the timer was short enough that you probably need to sit down and do their test all at once & AFAIK no retakes.

Haven't done any HITs from them for what that's worth.

Hi there, I just took the QT and got a score of 8. I'm not sure if this is high enough to work on your HITs as I can't find any up right now. (Maybe that indicates that my score is not high enough.)

I did want to let you know that you need to review your questions. As you know Wikipedia is an editable site and already the wording from one of your questions has changed. The answer was still the same but I'm wondering if another answer may have previously been something else. Just an FYI for you to check. (I don't want to get too specific and post answers to your Qual Test.)

Just to update we have incorporated the QT retake feature for Turkers. Now, turkers are allowed to take re-test after 10 minutes.

If I'm understanding this right, you need to have your browser upgraded/downgraded to certain versions per HIT, as specified in that HIT's details?

You are correct if you doesn't have the specific version of browser as specified in Hits. You need to downgrade/upgrade to that specified version of browser.

I have an extra laptop that is running windows 7,
so when I get home from work in 12 hours,
if the HITs are still there, I'll give them a shot

quite frankly, not many people have windows 7 anymore,
and downgrading their system can be a challenge that the payrate doesn't accomodate

All my systems are Windows 10 from original installation. I'm not sure I could install Windows 7 at this point.

AMT - HITs by 'WebomateS' - 1-6 of 6 Results

Looks like they pay $0.09 for 3 minutes, $0.13 for 5 minutes, $0.16 for 7 minutes... and "If you achieve 50 hits in 2 hours" [how is that even possible when they take at least 3min each?] "at high quality you will be eligible for a 50% bonus on all 50 hits. That is if your earnings were $1 you would make $1.5!."

That pay could use quite a bit of improvement, in my opinion.
