Anyone ever deposit a check and have a long hold on it? Usually have funds the day of and now I have a $50 check from a relative not in my account.

Not even pending.

Sometimes if it is an out of state check they do put a hold on it for 7 days. Usually if it is under $100, it is only a one day hold. I guess it could depend on your bank's rules though.

You could probably call the bank and ask for information regarding that check? Other than that I don't really have a lot of info.

I would call the bank- my mom sends me checks from NJ and they are deposited or at least showing as pending later that day.

Thats what I thought too but I had some money deposited and I had it the day of or next day from another out of state check. This one might be different and it might be because I did it on Friday so they still need time.

I just thought Id at least see a pending.
