That's really awful for people who use one screen. Also, some versions of Inquisit aren't compatible with Macs or other non-Windows computers which is super frustrating when you're partway through a survey and then there's surprise Inquisit and you can't do it.
I use 2 PCs and 3 monitors, linked with Synergy, specifically for this reason.

I have two screens but they're really cramped in my desk. It'll have to do until I can get a larger one though. It makes a huge difference, on one screen I can do hits and listen to music, and on the other I can have this gif playing nonstop while I turk:
Is there any real advantage to using two PCs over one? I do have two 27' monitors and it's so great. Using only one makes me feel crippled.

There is for me. If something I'm doing is a resource hog, I can off-load other things to an entirely different system. With them linked by Synergy, one keyboard and mouse, it's just like one PC with 2 separate brains.
