Had my final hearing. Was being sued by a debt buyer that specializes in buying up old debt and then filing suit in hopes that they don't show up and get a default judgement so they can collect money.

About 9 months ago, I filed my answer and went to the initial hearing. Filed a motion to have it taken from Small Claims court and into private arbitration. I figured that they would have dismissed the case seeing how they would be responsible for arbitration costs.

Six months later, I find out we have another hearing. It was delayed until today.

I had all my paperwork and ready for a battle that I was pretty sure I would win. Walk into the courtroom and they said no court for me today. Plaintiff filed a motion to dismiss the case. Case dismissed.

So... I count that towards my pending earnings.
