My son screams like he's being beaten whenever his mom puts him down. She has a ten minute ritual of trying to rock him and calm him down.

I take him in his room while singing 'you are my sunshine' and lay him in his crib and walk out the door. 30 seconds. He passes out.

That always brings on a strange feelings combination of "thanks" and "I want to murder you"

Being the work from home parent I think I am just tuned in with little dude to know when he hits that sweet spot of needing a nap.

She will try to get him 'good and tired' which means keeping him up for 5 hours until he completely loses his shit. Hard to calm him down after that.
