I know this has been discussed a ton but I never got a feeling about a the general consensus. For the people who do these a ton how long do you take on them? I know the 20 second thing has been discussed but do you stick to that?

One problem I am having with them is I go so slowly because I don't want to lose the qual based on some dumb quick submission rule.

Did this one yesterday too. Took me mroe than 45 minutes but was worth it with the bonus. My internet is also slow so that was probably a big factor in the time it took because there's a lot of loading.

Not sure you will get a response :/ That sucks though, sorry to hear that , dude. If you ever get another one, submit with your turker ID and then email them (contact them via your dashboard) that you are in the process of completing the assignment and will submit the code (via email) once complete. Their HITs are notorious for being extremely tight on the time. On the plus side (if there is one) ... it wasn't a 8-10hr HIT. Be prepared to chalk this one up as experience.

I think $15 worth of surveys is alright for now. Time to go make breakfast then start working on 5s. My hourly still isn't great with them but I can tell that I'm slowly getting better.

Only google things if you need to.
If you're second guessing yourself to the point where it's unprofitable then what's the point having the qual anyway, right?

I see a lot of people having unnecessary fear over losing this qual.

You do the math 20sec/HIT works out to $9/hr if you work straight through. The '20 sec rule or lose your qual' seems a bit liberal to me ... just based on experience of watching those who do 1000+/day
