Hey guys... do you think it's possible to make sweet croutons out of cake to top things like ice cream? There's surely a reason some novelty shop hasn't done this yet, right?

It's very possible and I'm certain it's been done at some point before! But you can easily do that, though probably easier with cookies if you want it crunchy

Crunchy, yes, dense, no. The reason I wasn't thinking cookies was b/c I want that kind of airy feeling when you bite through it still. @ItsAmyTee just posted a thing for pound cake "croutons" up a little higher, but again, I think it might be a little too dense. I'm thinking like angel food or boxed chocolate cake mix texture cake.

You can do that! You'd just wanna probably bake the cake and then "toast" it after, so it bakes soft inside for sure.
