I make and sell scented candles on Etsy. I base the smells off of fictional places or fictional characters. They have names like Winterfell, Ponyville, Mad Love etc. But i made a new one over the weekend called Wayne Manor...and its by far the best one i've made. The scent has been lingering through the house and it is glorious!

Just had to share my achievement of being one step closer to becoming the Batman. Also, best of turk luck to us all this week, hopefully we all make Bruce Wayne money.

Why do some of these requesters mess with their information? I've tested a few surveys and found if you don't give them the answers they want they won't give you a code. Sometimes I don't mind and will play a long but if it's something that really does interfere with my values and I know they are playing a game anyway like giving false info up front, I get a bit upset and stay with my actual honest beliefs instead of the PC ones. Then I have to return the survey because it doesn't give a code and I'm not going to argue with them over it. They are the ones collecting false data. It ticks me off cause they are the ones saying they are concerned about the data they are collecting from mturk.

I'm not sure I understand.

Sometimes, requesters will ask a question as a 'screener.' If you answer (for instance): no, I haven't smoked in the past month - they assume you don't meet the profile for their survey. They should set up a paid screener, pay you for your time, and then pay MORE to the smoker.

Every once in awhile, they screw up and the screener boots you w/o a code. They should have told you upfront there was a screener...........but sometimes they just screw up.

The other possibility is that you missed an attention check (?). Sometimes they won't give you a code, then. That's also kind of rare, but it has happened.

TBH, the most common reason that you don't get a code is that there is a mistake (the survey platform or the requester did something wrong). When that happens, I usually just pm them and tell them. I put in my mturk ID into the HIT. I've always gotten paid.

I think I just had the stupidest moment of my life. I did a search in the forum for a Viral panda link. Ended up on some random day. Set it up on TM but didn't have it running yet. I go back to doing VDX. Then I switched back to the random day page of the forum and see everyone excited about Virals. I knocked my coffee over trying to get my Panda going.

Well, this isn't about candles - but perhaps you know anyway .

I really, really want a bottle of the lilac perfume scent that used to be sold by the Body Shop. It's not made anymore, and I've looked on Etsy to find something similar - but (alas!) there are hundreds of generic lilac scents............nothing that says ( 'this is just like the body shop scent.

Do you know of any resources for that?
