Sweet came back in my room from a home visit with my son's new therapist and found 9 Brian Z's waiting for me. Today may be looking up! Should put me at $20 for the day so far and lots of time left for more

I grow my own....but my meat is the worst too i buy the best quality i can afford i made myself a deal after i went through some hard times i would never in my life eat shitty food ever again
I respect that. I spring on deli meat and get it cut super fine but a pound of deli meat lasts me a week+. Chicken I'll freeze so a pound of chicken tenderloins lasts me a week+ as well.

Other meals I supplement with beans or peanut butter. Then I just toss a grain/vegetables in there. I try and eat relatively light because I spend prob another 15-20 total on fast food random times of the month. I have a ton of seasonings and spices so most anything I can make into something better than just like white rice and a piece of chicken lol.

A lot of vegetables. My meat costs me the most. I've had a bag of rice last me almost 4 months.
Yeah... that's about how it is for us. Giant bag of wild rice... lots of steamed veggies... we don't buy a lot of meat though I do harvest fish from the aquaponic rig every few weeks. For a house of 3 we spend about $60 a month on food.

If you're single, try to buy a house and rent the other rooms out. Make your roommates pay for your cost of living. Google house hacking for more details.

I'm sure everyone's families are lovely and wonderful and taking care of kids is really fulfilling, but nothing has made me want to have kids less than when I read the daily working threads.

Got that cal rose rice and I put a bit of soy sauce on it and I'm good. That or I toss in some seasoning while its in the cooker. A cup usually keeps me full almost all day.
