Hey now, that's not nice. lol. I think that number is really misleading, though. We have THE poorest county in the country here (Reservation), but we also have towns (cities?) like Sioux Falls that are more expensive. I'm a transplant. Grew up in North Carolina. Been in South Dakota 16 years now. My husband promised me we'd only be here 5..... I think we're pretty much in it for the long haul now though. Our oldest is about to start high school and my step-son is about to give us a grandbaby, so there's no leaving at this point.

Plus they have good salt water taffy in Keystone.

So, I've never done a "Heather" before but caught one. I can't seem to progress beyond finding the occupations of more than two inhabitants. Am I supposed to just return it and assume these are not for me?? [ frustrating ... and I feel like such a dweeb ]

All of Heather's are different. I haven't done the one you're talking about, but I do know she's very responsive to communication. So if you have time, send her a message and see what she says, before you return or abandon.
