Yeah he's just being lazy. (Why work if they'll just take care of me) I've had to replace my birth certificate twice...it's like $15. You fill out a form online and they send it to you. Easy peezy.

The problem is he needs his ID to do that. And his parents need to get a notary and like their information needs to be provided. It's a stupid bullshit mess. It's $35 for a California one. It's all annoying. My boyfriend got his ID a week after he turned 18 and was able to get his stuff from his parents. His brother just turned 21 and has nothing.

Right, my best friend has always told me that. Fortunately, my father in law is not a mechanic but has worked on cars forever, so I think he will be a good fit.

A "shade tree mechanic" is better than no mechanic at all. Can't go too wrong with a basic diagnosis of the vehicle. LUCK!
