Understandable, given what you've told me about your time here.

And those all sound like pretty cool names to me! (Even though I am notoriously uncool, so I probably can't be trusted.) One of my favorite kitties was named Punky (Punky Brewster aka Princess Purrsius of the MeowMeow Galaxy), so that's my favorite of the ones you listed.

I'm not sure I've made any valid contributions in this reply.. My brain is all over the place today, apparently.
Princess Purrsius of the MeowMeow Galaxy is a super valid contribution.

Hi everyone! Back from a nice vacation :)

What I keep noticing today is a lot of barely-HWTF hits that are like 11 minutes for a dollar or whatever. Any neat batches I've missed out on? Anyone get married?

I've been meaning to do that but at the same time going to the post office gives me an excuse to get out of the house.....and then I use that excuse to go shopping.

That makes sense. I forget that there are some people who actually like to leave their homes.

So do master requesters reject more? Do I need to be MORE vigilant than I already am? I assume I can get it taken away. Will someone who has masters (For a little while) send me a message so I can ask all my strange questions?
Honestly, they probably do reject more because a lot of requesters who use Masters are brand new (and believe what Amazon is telling them about Masters being superior and worth the extra money). So because they're brand new requesters, they do dumb stuff like reject for bad reasons or no reasons.

I also so that some of their TO's look a little funny. Like people just 5 bombing on some sad sad work.

I would check the TO on that one. Looks bad. Some people said an hour and no code at the end.

A theory about Masters is that the system was broken ( clickhappier @clickhappier first mentioned it). Looking back over past numbers, from 5/12/14 => 5/6/15: 899 masters added through 6 give outs. This put the current 989 given out in the same range for Masters/time. What looks like could have happened was that whatever system was used to select Masters was working, but the system to hand it out was broken, so people were just being added to the pool. Then it got fixed, and all of those people in the pool were given Masters thus accounting for the large sum of people who were given the qual at once, but for how much time has passed since the last time, that number falls in line with the average. This would not be the first time mturk broke something so its not out of the realm of possibility.
