Satellite internet service, it's slower than broadband and expensive as hell. But some people have no other choice.Does dish offer internet service?

I wouldn't be surprised if there were people that moved to cities solely or most importantly because of Google Fiber. I would. It's horrible but boonie living gives me no other option.

I am sure there are. I can't deal with the city, I work there and refuse to live there.I wouldn't be surprised if there were people that moved to cities solely or most importantly because of Google Fiber. I would.

I live in the middle of a sprawling city and AT&T couldn't give me more than 1mb/s. I went to their store to complain and they basically told me, " tough shit, there's nothing we can do". I ended up switching to Time Warner, but the internet infrastructure here is painfully outdated. It's horrible but boonie living gives me no other option.
I had fios with 30d/30u and it was wayy better than the 80d/5u I have with time warner in terms of reliabilityI live in the middle of a sprawling city and AT&T couldn't give me more than 1mb/s. I live in no mans land literally. There is a gas station about 6 miles away though. But no decent internet for a long long way.I live in the middle of a sprawling city and AT&T couldn't give me more than 1mb/s. OMG, what is must be like. I can't even imagine. I have two years before I can move. I pray I end up with it. Literally, no idea where to move to but portland/vancouver, WA is getting insanely expensive.I love my Google Fiber.

A city about 2 hours away from me is getting Google Fiber in the next couple months. Im looking to buy the largest CAT5 cable in existenceI love my Google Fiber.
Living in the boonies here too. *sympathy hug* Our only main option was satellite internet, but thankfully the area is blanketed by 4G and I was able to get wireless from a reseller. It's expensive as hell (and most of my turk money goes toward paying the monthly bill), especially considering during primetime hours the speed tends to tank, but it's unlimited and worlds better than attempting to do anything on satellite internet. It's horrible but boonie living gives me no other option.
