The instructions (for the relevant ones) do say pick the one which is most relevant/accurate of the three, so it's hard to say whether that means you should fudge things into close categories or not. Seems like some people are going straight N/A and some are finding close matches.

It's likely that any golden questions have clear answers, so that won't weed out what they do or don't want.

1.
  • If none of the Product Types are correct, please select "N/A".

2. It doesn't say anything about picking relevant of the 3

It absolutely does.

That's not really saying pick one out of the 3. That's literally giving basic 5s instructions, and then below that telling you to choose N/A if none are correct.

And again, 100k+ budget projects that have bad instructions. There should be pages of examples, and they should use examples where the category isn't blatantly obvious from the title.

Being a correct category and being the best of all possible categories is not the same thing.

For example on the relevant ones does a "door stop" fit under "doors" if its the only category that fits or is it N/A.

I really wonder how much in total they've dropped on Mturk in the what like 3-4 years they've been around.

But yea instructions are pretty shit across the board.
If only they....I don't know....actually communicated with the community ever.

That's an N/A because there's a whole separate area for those under hardware. But there's more obscure item accessories (like trampoline ropes or something) that will not have a separate category. So in that case who knows. I put them under the main item.

They could never speak to us again, if they just made a pdf with examples. Their terrible beverage tagging things had a 100 page photo guide.
