The tag addon that we use doesn't actually tell us who leaves the tags. We can speculate based on who's online when the tags show up, but it's difficult to prove, so all we can really do is tell people to stop or just take them away.

We've made several posts over the last couple months asking people to be a little more responsible with them, it didn't happen, so we had to disable them.

Not a great loss. Tags are supposed to be used to make the thread more searchable for people wanting to find specific conversations or information. I've never seen a single useful or informative tag applied and crap tags completely muck up the site search.

i actually just figured out how to use the tags. all I saw was a bunch of nonsense down there and, I thought when I hit edit it was me editing someone elses... I put LOUD NOISES. I failed at tagging.

I think you need to look up abuse meaning then and actually see what kinda tags were down there. one time compared to the meanness that was going on.
